Gold Versus Silver and How to Accessorize With Jewelry by Kia Shrutu

My favorite traditional jewelry is gold because it is shinier than silver and looks classier. Some people wear both but I don't think you should wear both together. The younger generation, I think, wear silver more often as well as homemade jewelry such as beads and hemp or wire jewelry. Silver gives a more casual appearance. As for accessorizing, if you wear a long evening gown that looks glamorous, you should keep the jewelry to a minimum. Maybe just wear a gold necklace or a long pair of earrings. If you are wearing a shorter gown, you should accessorize a bit more with a matching set of necklace, earrings, and ring or bracelet. Match the type of jewelry to the gown itself. If the gown is adorned with silver then you should accessorize with silver as well. At my wedding I wore a long white dress with a lot of embroidery and pearl beading. The dress came up the neck and was long sleeved so there wasn't a lot of skin showing. The only jewelry I wore was a borrowed pair of pearl earrings and matching necklace in gold. It was dazzling.
