Pregnancy Due Date by Katie Byrd

Humans can never sit themselves down without doing anything. We are made with this natural instinct to be curious about almost everything. This includes expectant mother's due date. Everytime you meet a pregnant mother, it is not 'how are you?' or 'how long are you off work?'. It is, “Oh my gosh! How far are you due?”

There are evidently many ways to determine the due date of a pregnancy.

Some couples would count from the time the mother missed her period, and add about 9 months from there. It is a reasonable way of calculating it.

Some would resort to the ever popular online calculator. It is very simple as you only need to input some information like the mother's last menstrual period and the end of the trimester period. It would give about the same date because it is basically just calculating the same thing if you would to do it by hand. It just gives the couple a little something fun to do.

The most logical thing to do is get an exact date from the doctor from an ultrasound scan. The sonography is extremely accurate. This techonology enables the doctor to monitor the development of the fetus and also predict the due date.

However, no matter how modern technology, nothing in life is for certain and no one can predict the future. We can only be prepared and accept the truth in life when the time comes. Just remember to enjoy have fun with the anticipation of a new born baby.
